Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer-songwriter whose tales of youthful heartache earned her widespread recognition in the beginning of the 21st century. Swift had a passion for music since a young childhood. Swift swiftly rose through in the ranks, beginning as a child actor as well as singing in front of an audience of thousands. In the moment that Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of a Philadelphia 76ers game aged 11, she was already making songs. After that she picked up the guitar. Swift wrote original songs that was inspired by the country artists like Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks) and Dixie Chicks. Her material was a result of her own experience as an adolescent. When she was 13 Swift's parents sold their farm in Pennsylvania for a move to Hendersonville Tennessee so she could devote more of her time to courting country labels within the vicinity of Nashville.
